Jen had her latest MRI today and the scan was stable! Her platelets have also held up better than predicted from the previous round of chemo and she will begin her 7th cycle on time starting tonight. Thank you to everyone for the continued support and prayers.
Jen continues to handle this journey with incredible fortitude and strength. She had a one on one session this week at WeSpark (a cancer support center) in mindfulness counseling and meditation. The facilitator told Jen with tears in her eyes that out of all the years of her doing this, Jen was the most inspirational cancer patient she had ever seen. Jen's attitude of fight & hope, as well as her acceptance of the battles ahead without fear or despair has been something to witness. Her resiliency and zest for life is infectious and for those who truly know Jen, this is probably not that surprising. I know she inspires me every day. Jen is amazing! I love her and am thankful for every day that we have together.

Living Life One Day at a Time
I realize it has been a few weeks since my last update. Not much to report on the cancer front. Jen completed her sixth chemo cycle a couple of weeks ago. Jen's next MRI is scheduled for Monday, June 15. If everything is stable and her platelets hold out she will also begin her seventh cycle of chemo that night. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to hope for a great scan result.
Jen has been doing great. We have actually had a fairly busy social calendar for the past two weeks following Jen's latest chemo. About 2 weeks ago Jen's boss Cluckie from Deutsch held a barbecue at his house for Jen and her fellow Deutschers. It was great to see everybody again.
A week ago we spent our first night away from home that wasn't in a hospital since this whole thing started. We got away to Santa Barbara for the night. We spent a wonderful weekend with Rich & Terri. We took in a show at the Santa Barbara Bowl (Robert Plant) and spent the second day in wine country. It really was a very needed and enjoyable 2 days away from home. It was great to spend it with such a fantastic couple as well - Thank you Rich & Terri. Unfortunately, we neglected to get any pictures of the four of us together. I have posted a few that we did take below.
I'm sure many of you are aware that seeing live music together has always been one of the great passions that Jen & I share. Looking forward to the next one.
